How to Draw Easter
Step 1
We will contain the eggs in this image in a wicker basket, and we will start by drawing the handle of this basket in this first step of our Easter drawing guide. Start by drawing a small rounded shape for the center of the loop that will be on the handle.
Next, use larger rounded shapes for the arc rings, then extend some thinner bifurcated shapes down from them. After drawing that pretty loop, let’s focus on the handle itself. This handle is heavily curved and is made up of many small, thin sections that connect. With the handle pulled, we can then proceed to step 2!
Step 2
A basket is fine, but it wouldn’t be a great Easter drawing without a few eggs! We’ll be drawing some of these soon, but first, we’ll add the border of the basket.
This edge looks similar to the handle design, comprising several small, thin, connected shapes. When the basket’s rim is drawn, it’s time to add some eggs!
We will draw the eggs with curved lines, and about 6 eggs will be visible in the image. They’ll be empty for now, but we’ll decorate them shortly as we move on to the next step!
Step 3
This step of our Easter drawing guide focuses on decorating the eggs. We added pattern details, from zigzag lines to lines and stitches.
This is a suggestion: opt for similar patterns or use your decorations. Before moving on to the next step, how will you decorate these cute eggs?
Step 4
Before we move on to the final details of this Easter design, let’s finalize the outline for the basket. This basket is woven together, so we’ll draw it in different sections to achieve this look. Use some curved horizontal lines to add these sections to the cart.
As you can see in the reference image, these sections get progressively thinner as you move toward the bottom of the container. Now that we’ve drawn these sections, we can focus on some minor final details in the next step of the guide!
Step 5
This fifth step of our Easter drawing guide focuses on adding minor details to finish it off! We’ll also cover some ways you can add your details and additions to the image, but let’s finish some minor details for the shopping cart first.
We’ll add smaller horizontal and vertical lines using the lines you already had on the basket. This completes the woven look of the basket. Then you can complete the picture with some finishing touches!

Step 6
There is a wide variety of styles, colors, and patterns to see when it comes to Easter eggs. So far, you’ve been working hard on the design aspects of this Easter drawing, and in this final step, we’re going to focus on the colors. There are no rules when coloring Easter eggs.
The only rule is that you should have as much fun experimenting with color as possible! We have shown you some colors you can choose to color the eggs in your drawing.
Nevertheless, this is just a small selection of the colors you can use to colorize your image! Choosing the colors is also just part of the fun, as you can experiment with different artistic tools and mediums to represent your desired colors.
